Tatranska Lomnica is the largest settlement in The High Tatras and offers a comprehensive range of mountain transport infrastructure. The settlement is the seat of the administration of the Tatra National Park (TANAP). We will visit the Tanap museum and Belianska drip-stone Cave. The cave was created in the Middle Triassic Gutenstein limestones, by waters penetrating along interbred surfaces and tectonic faults. Total cave length is 1,752 m and vertical range is 160m. A noticeable vertical dissection of the cave is shaped also by chasms. Sinter "waterfalls" pagoda-like stalagmites and several sinter pools. Also other forms of sinter filling are richly represented.
