
The Low Tatras National Park (NAPANT)
The Low Tatras main mountain ridge running from west to east is approximately 100 km long. The highest peak of this national park is created by Ďumbierske Tatry 2046 m. The peak Kráľova Hoľa 1948m is the source of four major Slovak rivers – the Hron, Váh, Hornád and Hnilec. The longest cave in the Low Tatras national park is Demänovská kvapľová jaskyňa Slobody with a 23-km long labyrinth. The largest tarn in the park is Vrbické pleso in the valley of Demänovská dolina. The flora and fauna of the region are interesting mainly for their diversity. The symbol of this national park is the brown bear.

Moderately demanding high mountain tour. The ascent to the Dumbier 2043m is almost 1000m long. We Start form Trangoska 1120m following the trail around Halasova jama, Mrtvych netopierov and Chata R.M.Stefanika 1728m and Krupovo sedlo 1760m. The oblique traverse heads to the Krupova Hola Mt. 1927m. It then leads us on the path ascending up to the Dumbier Mt. 2043m the tallest mountain of the Low Tatras. We then descend to Trangoska 1120m.
