The dominant building at Štrbské Pleso ("Strba Tarn" – 1355m above sea-level) is the Patria Hotel, named after the nearby peak Patria (in Latin: "fatherland"), 2203m high. The hotel stands near the shore of the high-mountain tarn at the mouth of Mlynická Valley, sensitively incorporated into the Tatra landscape.
Accommodation:
Hotel Patria has a capacity of 300 beds, arranged in twin or double rooms and 14 suites. All rooms have en-suite facilities, WC, tv-sat, radio, telephone, safe and minibar.
Vatra Club:
A new addition to the hotel Patria is the Vatra Club, a bowling centre and entertainment area. It also has a recently added a retro bar to compliment the bowling.
Restaurant:
The elegant and spacious dining-room glass-walled on the south and east sides with breathtaking views of the lake has an international kitchen and restaurant serving local and international cuisine.
